White is the most popular vehicle color in North Houston by a wide margin, and for good reason. It reflects heat, photographs well, and holds resale value. But white paint presents its own maintenance problems that don’t show up in the dealership lot. Iron fallout, brake dust, bird etchings, hard water mineral deposits, and the yellowing oxidation that develops on horizontal panels all read clearly on white once the accumulation reaches a certain threshold. Ceramic coating does not change the color of white paint. What it changes is the surface energy of that paint, and that single change cascades into a maintenance routine that is measurably easier.
